Oscar Wilde said that punctuality is the thief of time.

Clearly, he never took AP Physics B in high school, because is he did, it would have been "AP Physics B is the thief of time." Or, maybe his brain must have melted out and fallen splat on the floor so he wouldn't be able to write such short, witty statements.

Applying to colleges is also not fun at all. I'm tired of it.

Leaving for Pakistan on Wednesday.

I'm positive that you guys haven't heard of Marian Bantjes, and I'm even more positive that you haven't heard of Layer Tennis.

Before I begin ranting on and on and on about how awesome both are, I should let you know: That they both really are awesome. So basically, Marian Bantjes is a world renowned Graphic Designer, and she's done so many projects that you've probably seen some of them, like the Sakes Fifth Avenue "Want it!" Campaign and a the border in the ever-awesome Wired Magazine for the June 2007 "Rocket Boom" issue.

In addition, Layer Tennis is a really cool competition between the artists.

More later, since the bell rang.

Brand New Website.
A REAL Website, complete without a redirect to blogger. Worpress, for some reason, just isn't working out for me. Can't wait till that's up. Since nobody cares, I'll continue.

I'm going to talk about Halloween today, since it's tomorrow.
I, personally, don't understand why people come close to having a heartattack when I tell them that I don't celebrate it. First off, you're under 60 years old, you really shouldn't even be having half heart attacks.

There's alot more to not celebrating.

  1. Imagine. I am saving so much money not buying candy for kids I don't know and never will know and really don't care about me.
  2. That money can be spent on things like, candy. Candy for myself, of course. And fancy chocolates. And chocolate covered strawberries.
  3. Having not ever participated in Halloween makes it look all the dumber.
  4. Spend all that money for one night that people forget about a week later? I think not.
  5. I don't get sick and tired of the sound of a doorbell ringing. It probably rings only about, I dunno, 348057374875 times, but if you don't celebrate, then hey! You get to shop at the mall and not hear a doorbell ringing!
  6. Honestly, half those kids are WAY too old to be trick-or-treating. Seriously.
  7. Some of those outfits are pretty scary. I get more nightmares looking at scary outfits than watching a horror film because at least I know that horror films aren't real.
  8. I don't pay for halloween decorations.
  9. I don't have to smile at obnoxious rugrats and tell them to have a good time.
  10. I automatically win the "Who got the most candy?" award because I didn't participate, and whoever doesn't get candy should deffinitely be awarded.
  11. I don't corrupt children prividing them with unlimited amounts of candy.
  12. I get to chill out at the mall.
  13. People think I'm wierd, it's great for my reputation. 'Cause, hey, it's better than people thinking I'm stupid.

And so, not celebrating halloween is fine by me. Really.

I went to the Underground Atlanta yesterday, and it was extremely awesome and liberating.

I’m serious.

It was more than just a former underground station turned into a shopping hub, it was beyond that. It was an entire culture epitomized into a single street. The culture of Black America. I know I experienced a lot of it at Springbrook, but this was something else. It was located centrally in downtown Atlanta, and yet, it was more than just “a bunch of black people.”

I mean, all those really hard working people, the typical foods, the eclectic and colorful fashions, the open and accepting manner of people...It was incredible.

I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a real place to see real people. Very real people.

On a completely different note, I am thoroughly missing Photoshop. I don’t have it on this computer in GA, its sitting way back in Maryland. Which sucks. I mean, you know that feeling when you’ve been addicted to CSI and then you miss a really good episode because your neighbor’s service was down, and you were freeloading and then you find out that they no longer get Cable? I believe that’s sort of what I’m feeling right now.

I wish I could buy time.

Time to do things like study AND chill all in the same day.

A new concept, I know,

Eid went well, thank you for asking.

Or, wait, I don't thank you for asking, because if you knew that I was going to Maryland, then you already knew that I was going to have an awesome weekend, do asking me how it went would have been redundant.

I caught alot of people in Maryland, I was especially happy to see Hareem and Sana and Aishah, but I missed alot of people too, like Mona and Nimat and Saher.

(I've addressed them like they're fish, using "caught" and "missed." In reality, they're penguins. Not even people, penguins.)

SO much has changed.

My world stopped and faded when I got to Georgia.
Everybody else went right on with life.

I just learned THE most amazing thing about kid who live here. They have pet horses. Horses, for pets. And horsebackriding is a big deal here too. PEOPLE, they have horses as pets here! You know you're in Georgia when people talk about they're pet horses at the lunch table. Some of the cheaper equestrians charge 400/month for room and board. Four-hundred! A month!

You could send a kid to private school! But no, you'd rather have a pet horse.

Anyways. That's over. Get to learn something new about Georgia everyday, yeah?

I learned something else completely awesome. An assignment contractor who works with investors is asking me to design her website! I am so excited ! Design a real website for a real person! (Cause I'm not real at all, you know?) It's going to be awesome and amazing. It's going to be spectacular. I'll send the link when it's finished. I'm getting started this weekend

Which makes this weekend the most exciting weekend since I came here. But the next most amazing weekend is going to be next weekend, when we might go to MD. But that wouldn't be in GA so I guess that wouldn't count.

SO what do YOU do when you get online?
