Leaving for Maryland todayyy.

I am SO excited.
Maryland.

It's even more awesome than Au Bon Pain's chocolate chip cookies.
Which are heavenly.

No, I haven't started applying to college.

I just learned THE most amazing thing about kid who live here. They have pet horses. Horses, for pets. And horsebackriding is a big deal here too. PEOPLE, they have horses as pets here! You know you're in Georgia when people talk about they're pet horses at the lunch table. Some of the cheaper equestrians charge 400/month for room and board. Four-hundred! A month!

You could send a kid to private school! But no, you'd rather have a pet horse.

Anyways. That's over. Get to learn something new about Georgia everyday, yeah?

I learned something else completely awesome. An assignment contractor who works with investors is asking me to design her website! I am so excited ! Design a real website for a real person! (Cause I'm not real at all, you know?) It's going to be awesome and amazing. It's going to be spectacular. I'll send the link when it's finished. I'm getting started this weekend

Which makes this weekend the most exciting weekend since I came here. But the next most amazing weekend is going to be next weekend, when we might go to MD. But that wouldn't be in GA so I guess that wouldn't count.

SO what do YOU do when you get online?

I think my mind is slowly deteriorating. Really, I'm not sure how to check though. I guess I could go t my doctor and prospose a plan to check. Like, I dunno, measure the mass of my brain before and after Physics class. If you haven't guessed already, I can't do physics. Just not my thing. Samosas are my thing. I can do those.

English is another thing I can't handle

A girl in my english class commented that she'd been been 'gypped' when my teacher looked really offended. "No, no, gypsies are not the ones stealing in this world. The people who steal most in this world are white people. So a suitable idiom would be 'I got cracker'd.'

Interesting.

Just as interesting as my World History teacher, who felt that her tests are REALLY hard, so even if we do terrible, we should be proud of ourselves. She told us if we get a 70% or higher, we should get up and dance. If we got an 80% or higher, we should have animals sacrificed to us.

If we got an A, "Then you are God. Like, really." says my World History teacher. At any rate, I got a B. Not bad. FOR A TENTH GRADER. But for me, that's terrible. I should have been at the staus of God.

Just alluding.
I'm fine being an insignificant human.

Georgia. I'm reminded I'm here by really random things.

I would have switched out of Web Design a week into the course; it's just that I learn so much, I just can't drop the class. Of course, the class, which is all males except for the one exception Aleena Khan, isn't so much a class as a place-for-guys-to-hang-out-talk-about-guy-stuff-and-girls-and-get-advice-too. I get bored. No, I get irritated. By Guy Mentality.

I also would have switched out of AP World, if it wasn't for how hilarious the kids make that class. The first time I said "dawg" in class, Andrew Mowry goes:

"Hahaha! She said 'dawg' that's pretty funny.'

Really? Thanks. AP World History is Incredibly Boring, and is also A Waste of Time, but who cares? I mean, it looks good on college applications? Isn't that why most kids suffer throughout the year, to impress college offcials they've never met? That sounds like a good idea, like the rest of the good ideas in the American Educational System.

Anyways. I’m not sure why I haven’t updated in a while. Probably busy, I’m not sure. Doing things like laughing at our disconnected family. My mom noticed that the mailman wasn’t taking any mail, and we got really frustrated, so my mom put up a huge sign on the mailbox that said, “PLEASE TAKE OUR MAIL”

The mailman took our sign wrote on the back and put it up where it was. The message:

“POSTAGE IS 41 CENTS, NOT 39”

Go figure.

Who's Kanye?
She asked.
And I thought, "God, only in Alpharetta, GA"

There's alot of things I've come across and said, "God, only in Alpharetta, GA." For example, I was reading the local paper called The Alpharetta Beacon and realized that we made a bit of a mistake moving into this particular area, called The Bible Belt by us Northereners. Anyways, there were multiple letters to the editor sent appreciating an article printed in a previous issue. I didn't read the article, actually, but the letters were enough. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was about how it's so sad that white people are getting oppressed in the South. White people? Complaining? While thery're in the South?

Give me a break.

In addition, I'd just like to add that I'm STILL not thinking about college.

On the other hand, I AM thinking about my interior desing class. A couple of black girls at my table volunteered to demonstrate "Walk it Out," and "Soldier Boy" to really loud music to the family and consumer sciences teachers. Teachers that are Caucasian, not black, and more than forty years old. The class next door to us joined to watch. I'm not sure if they came to see the African-American girls dance all-out, or old white ladies attempt some of those moves.

It was hilarious either way.

Another amazing thing happened, and that was that Dr. Fair read my English composition out loud 'cause it was SO good. I'm a senior, and that's a first. Trust me, I would remember if it happened before.

These seniors I'm with, alot of them bore me. They're SO average and unoriginal, so many of them.

Have you seen any bad movies lately?

I've learned not to trust people's opinions on what a "good" movie is, but when someone says a movie is awful, it's awful. On to more mundane things.

Actually, before I move on, Asim Ali is so cool. Even cooler than my new digital alarm clock, which, by the way, is pretty darn cool. He appears on tv, and hosts a show about Spanish dancing. I could continue rambling on about how cool he is, but that would bore you, most probably. It would bore me too. I don't like writing about interesting people too much. People might think they're better than me. I'm even cooler than Asim Ali, just to clear that up for anyone who was wondering. He is my (other) hero, (after Dad, and Henry Callahan, the amazing photographer.)

As we have just moved here, and people keep asking me how old I am and what grade I'm in, I've given up explaining that I'm fifteen and in the twelfth grade, and that it only happened because I cheated the system and not because I'm smart. the next most annoying question is, "SO, are you thinking about college?"

Come to think of it, I'm NOT thinking about college. Not one bit. It hasn't crossed my mind at all, not until this question comes up in a conversation every ten minutes. Sometimes, to anyone who asks me if I'm thinking about college, I reply, "Actually no, I was just thinking about how delicious that chocolate cake was." And people become offended, as if I was insulting the idea of going to college. I AM insulting the idea, people.

On the other hand, I sometimes reply, "Yes, I have been thinking about college. I wonder why it's spelled with two "L's" Isn't one "L" in college sufficient?"

People think I'm crazy. Crazy is someone who assumes that every high school senior thinks about college twenty-four seven. We have other things on our mind, like "Oh my GOD I need to do World Religions paper!"

To most, thank you for your sympathy.
To others, thank you for your idiocy. (That couldn't be directed to Zeeshan Anwar at all)

I really do appreciate it. It's one of those things at one of those times that I totally needed. Like when you totally need a pair of clean jeans that aren't stained with dishwashing liquid for eternity on a monday morning, you know?

Tomorrow is the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL and you can totally imagine that I'm really anxious. It's worse than knowing that you're gonna go the dentist and he's gonna yell at you for flossing only once a day and not six times like everyone else out of their mind. 'Cause, then you know, you forget all about it the next day.

But school sticks with you for as long as it takes nail polish to come out of carpet. Which is forever, for those of you who are so incredibly organized that you never had nail polish stuck on your carpet.

I got paint on my SAVE DARFUR t-shirt. Wall paint. eckk.

So I am finally registered at my school, Milton high, and my god, you should google the school on google images and just look at how horrible it'll probably be.

I'm going to pretend to be cool and confident.

I told my uncle I had a blog. He pointed and laughed. Really, REALLY hard.

I really hope he reads this.

Anyways. When I went to register myself, my whole enitre extended family decided to accompany me. Well, just mom, dad, and uncle, but still. I have NO problem with that, if only my uncle didn't resemble a Target employee, and if my dad didn't dress in one of those fitted t-shirts. I'm not sure why he bought it. Probably 'cause it was on sale. Which is a great reason to buy anything, actually.
