I am uninterested in things uninteresting, but I might give it a shot.

Who's Kanye?
She asked.
And I thought, "God, only in Alpharetta, GA"

There's alot of things I've come across and said, "God, only in Alpharetta, GA." For example, I was reading the local paper called The Alpharetta Beacon and realized that we made a bit of a mistake moving into this particular area, called The Bible Belt by us Northereners. Anyways, there were multiple letters to the editor sent appreciating an article printed in a previous issue. I didn't read the article, actually, but the letters were enough. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was about how it's so sad that white people are getting oppressed in the South. White people? Complaining? While thery're in the South?

Give me a break.

In addition, I'd just like to add that I'm STILL not thinking about college.

On the other hand, I AM thinking about my interior desing class. A couple of black girls at my table volunteered to demonstrate "Walk it Out," and "Soldier Boy" to really loud music to the family and consumer sciences teachers. Teachers that are Caucasian, not black, and more than forty years old. The class next door to us joined to watch. I'm not sure if they came to see the African-American girls dance all-out, or old white ladies attempt some of those moves.

It was hilarious either way.

Another amazing thing happened, and that was that Dr. Fair read my English composition out loud 'cause it was SO good. I'm a senior, and that's a first. Trust me, I would remember if it happened before.

These seniors I'm with, alot of them bore me. They're SO average and unoriginal, so many of them.

  • Ohhh dear... Georgia??? Are you alright? I have family in Alabama, whom I avoid as much as possible, because the Bible Belt really isn't for me. And they don't seem to have gotten the memo that the Civil War/Reconstruction ended. Like, 150 years ago. "We're oppressed rich white people," they cry...

But I'm sure you're getting all the best of that now... hope you're okay!
